Presidents Message
I would like to thank the members of California Central Service Association for granting me the opportunity to serve as the president of our organization. This will be the second time I have been granted this privilege.
To give you a brief history I have been a member of CCSA since 1993 and have served on the CCSA Board since 1994. The majority of the time I have served as the Region Director for 3 & 4. I have also had the pleasure of serving as President Elect, President and Past President. Until 2000 I was part of the team that traveled around the northern part of the state assisting administering the California Central Service Certification Exam.
I was part of the board when we became a chapter of IAHCSMM. I have served as the California Representative on the IAHCSMM Executive Board. I was on the nominating committee for the last three years.
In the past three years I have watch as our association grows. We have a new energy with the addition of new members to the board. We have seen growth in the central regions of the state as well as the southern part of the state. We have been able to bring more information to our membership with more seminars, upgraded newsletter, and website.
CCSA has always been about education and keeping our members informed on new technology and changes in standards of practices. Our major focus is mandatory state certification for Central Service technicians and we will continue to work to achieve this goal. We are an important part of the healthcare team and should be recognized as professionals.
I would like to give recognition to all the members of the Board, who work so hard this past year, because the annual seminar in Redondo Beach was a huge success. I feel as a team we can accomplish many goals.
